As Janae and I are traveling about, we’ve noticed somewhat of a sadness in people. Can you remember a time when you’d go to the grocery store, people would smile at you, and it seemed they were generally in a good mood? In the airports, where families are on vacations, a time that supposed to be fun and happy, it appears, overall people are stressed, grumpy and not enjoying themselves. The challenges facing our nation has come home to roost in lives of so many.
You never know what people are going through but we do know who will go through it with us. Jesus…I miss those times. A smile can go a long way. We are encouraged by scripture in Romans 5:3-5 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
